Please be aware of the league schedule throughout the season. If a week is unable to be played due to weather, then we will carry that event into the next week. Rainouts will be determined by Jeff, the league coordinator and Director of Golf here at Dragon Ranch. If a week needs to be cancelled, we will do our best to let everyone know by email and/or phone call.
The first tee time each week is at 5:00 p.m. each Thursday. Pairings will be sent out the week of play through email. Each player will be paired up with three other league members each week. We are very flexible with scheduling. If you cannot show up until 5:30 p.m., just let us know and we will make sure to give you a later tee time. We always do our best to accommodate anyone who may have timing issues.
Also, if you have a group or friend that you like to play with on a regular basis, just let Jeff know and he will make sure that you are paired up each week.
MAKE-UPS & FORFEITS
If you plan to miss any particular week, please let Jeff know. That way, we are not waiting for you to arrive for your league tee time and everything will run smoothly.
Makeup rounds must be played within two weeks of the scheduled playing date. Makeup rounds must be played with a witness who signs off on your scorecard. This helps to keep everything clear and transparent.
Failure to make up your round by the deadline will result in zero points for that date. If you are unable to find someone to play with please contact Jeff and he will do his best to help. You have up until league play starts two weeks from the day to makeup your round.
REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP
The player with the most total points at the end of the Regular Season will be crowned the Regular Season Champion. Cash payouts will be awarded to the first, second, third and fourth place winners of each flight.
There will be two different weeks labeled as Major Weeks during the course of the Regular Season. On these days, the point values will double for everyone in the league. This gives those golfers that are behind in the standings a chance to come from behind and catch up to the rest of the league.
The first Major Week will be Thursday, June 20th and the second will be the final week of the Regular Season on Thursday, August 1st.
Everyone in the league will make the playoffs at the end of the year. Players’ points will carry over into the playoffs. Points will be double the amount they were in the Regular Season – making for chances to move up or down in the standings each week.
Playoffs begin Thursday, August 8th and last a total of four weeks.
